Soul speak....

When my soul was first trying to speak to me I felt completely disengaged from my life.

All the things that usually made me happy weren’t working anymore. I felt like I was walking around with a hangover without the party the night before.

On the outside my life seemed pleasant, I made sure everyone around me was happy, I was a good person, I did all the right things. But on the inside I had a raging inferno of sadness, anger, anxiety and years of suppression bursting to be set free.

This suppression was deeply felt in my heart. It was an ache that never left me and was usually the loudest when I was alone or when I slowed down.

So I kept busy, I kept looking after everyone else, I said yes to every distraction possible because I didn’t want to face the pain.

If I chose to face it, I didn’t know how much was in there. Would I ever stop crying? Would I be ok? Would it be too much for me? The fear kept it all buried so deep.

It wasn’t until my soul’s suppression hit unbearable that I knew I had to face myself.

I had to feel everything I had not. I had to see the truth behind everything I was denying. I had to face the damage I created from years of leaving myself behind.

Back then I had no idea what was ahead of me or what I was truly capable of. I didn’t know how much strength, love and compassion I actually had until I gave it to myself.

Healing is not comfortable and the soul will ask us to face things we really don’t want to. But that is exactly where we find our truth, our strength and who we really are beneath all the labels.

Returning to the soul starts with feeling and seeing the truth and ends with a version of us we never thought possible.

Now, my life feels full, it feels grounded, peaceful, authentic, certain, connected, whole and complete.

And without my soul calling me inward, I wouldn’t have even known what was waiting for me on the other side.

Have you ever felt your soul asking you to heal?

Much love,

Lisa
