The Magic of Mandala.....

When I first discovered mandala I was creating my first ever watercolour painting. Back then I didn't think I was creative at all, and a paint brush terrified me, so I used my fingers to create a blue background. I wasn't too sure what else to create so I just left the painted background on the dining room table hoping something would come to me.

After staring at the background colours for a few days I saw a whale in my minds eye and it had mandala patterns on its body. So, I started to research how to draw mandala patterns and the whale was born! The whale spoke of wisdom and I remember doing a meditation years before about how the whales of the world are "record keepers". So the words "The wisdom you seek are in the records I keep" flowed onto the page.

Creating this piece felt so dear to my heart because it showed me the power of creating without 'force' it showed me how beautiful it is to create with my minds eye and how effortless it was to birth into creation once I found my flow.

I have made this original artwork available on my website as a print to share the love and deep connection with those who love spiritual gifts, affirmations, sacred geometry, and mandala artwork. It is one of my most popular prints and has gone to many loving homes especially people who resonate with whales' wisdom and it has also been a very popular gift for the hard to buy for teen!

I just love creating from the heart and using my intuition to allow these pieces to create themselves. It is an honour and a privilege and it is something I feel I will be doing for a very long time!
